Responsibilities
- Serve as RN First Assistant in the operative phase under the surgeon’s direction for robotic-assisted cases; scrub and/or circulate as needed
- Collaborate with the surgeon and perioperative team to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, tissue handling, and exposure during DaVinci robotic procedures
- Support a range of robotic cases (e.g., urology, gynecology, colorectal, thoracic, general surgery) and adapt to unit needs
- Provide nursing care responsibilities when not assigned to the RNFA role and participate in postoperative documentation and communication
- Adhere to CNOR/RNFA standards and state regulations throughout perioperative practice

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant program; CNOR certification required
- DaVinci robotic experience required; Robotic surgery experience preferred (urology, GYN, colorectal, thoracic, general surgery)
- Two years of OR experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Perioperative nursing proficiency with scrubbing and circulating capabilities preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital OR setting with Monday–Friday day shifts and on-call obligations as dictated by the unit
