Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including medication administration and monitoring of vital signs
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care in collaboration with the health care team
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote safety, fall prevention, and infection control
- Monitor for changes in resident condition and report concerns promptly to the supervising nurse
- Educate residents and families as appropriate and uphold quality-of-care standards
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New Mexico
- LPN diploma from an accredited program
- Local candidates only
- Ability to perform duties in a long-term care environment
- Willingness to work the assigned schedule (3x12-hour days)
- Prior long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
