Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
ER RN travel assignment in Sonora, California. This Emergency Department position requires a Registered Nurse with ER expertise. Start date: 05/18/2026. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring for adults and pediatric patients.
- Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, manage cardiac monitoring, and participate in code/rapid response events per protocol.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient and family communication is clear.
- Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to ED protocols in a high-volume environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California) required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS (or HS-PALS or RQIPALS) required.
- Minimum 3 years of ER nursing experience; must have worked in the specialty within the last 3 months.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced ED setting and work 3x12-hour night shifts.
- Excellent teamwork, reliability, and communication skills.
