Responsibilities
- Operate the MRI scanner to produce cross-sectional scans and assemble them into 3D images for Radiologists’ interpretation.
- Consistently obtain high-quality imaging suitable for accurate radiologic assessment.
- Maintain safety in MRI zones and adhere to all MRI safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities in hospital records with attention to accuracy and completeness.
- Interact with patients compassionately and professionally, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the broader care team to support the department’s values and mission.
Requirements
- ARRT certified Radiography and State of Maine Radiography licensure.
- ARRT MRI certification preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
- General understanding of PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and its function.
- Ability to work Day shift in a hospital-based imaging setting and comply with MRI safety standards.
