Responsibilities
- Treat patients with movement dysfunction or pain to improve ability to perform daily tasks and independence
- Document evaluations, progress notes, discharges, daily notes, insurance approvals/denials, and related phone conversations
- Communicate with other providers, insurance companies, patients, rehab staff, and supervisor to coordinate care
- Contribute to discharge planning and work to improve mobility; help decrease fall risk and other adverse events
- Maintain treatment areas and assist with cleaning, laundry, and bathroom sanitation as needed
- Perform other duties as requested to support patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Professional degree in physical therapy required; Doctorate preferred
- Wisconsin physical therapy license and continuing education to maintain licensure
- 1+ years of related work experience required
- BLS certification preferred
- Ability to work in a clinical, short-term acute care setting and/or clinic
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail; strong documentation and communication skills
