Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while applying critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team; ensure documentation reflects care provided and patient response.
- Support and participate in discharge planning, safety initiatives, and compliance with infection control and privacy regulations.
- Use independent judgment to identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately, escalating concerns as needed.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (unrestricted)
- Relevant clinical experience aligned with oncology or related acute care nursing
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule (3x12)
- Demonstrated ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate cross-disciplinary care
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills
- Willingness to participate in agency onboarding and credentialing processes for assignment
