Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, including Left Heart Cath, Right Heart Cath, High-Risk PCI, Pacemaker/Device procedures, Peripheral and Structural Heart interventions, and related technologies (EMCO, EKOS) as applicable.
- Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and supplies, ensure sterile technique, monitor hemodynamics, and operate imaging systems during procedures.
- Provide peri-procedural patient care, including monitoring, data collection, and post-procedural recovery according to protocol.
- Document procedures accurately in the patient record and communicate findings to the interventional team.
- Collaborate with the cardiovascular team to ensure safety, infection control, radiation safety, and adherence to policies; support quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with device management and post-procedural care, including equipment decontamination and restocking of supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab or interventional/diagnostic specialty; 2–4 years of experience preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; AART or RCIS certification required.
- Education: Associate degree in health science or completion of an accredited technology program (CVT/Radiology).
- Demonstrated cath lab experience with the ability to work in a high-volume environment and perform both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Ability to work a 12-hour day shift and meet holiday coverage requirements; willingness to travel for a travel assignment.
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location.
