Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for NICU patients following the nursing process and established standards.
- Collect and analyze patient data, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and supervise appropriate delegated tasks for care team members.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and communicate with families about care plans and treatment.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients’ families to support safe transitions.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and document care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Education: BSN preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience; NICU or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced NICU setting and participate in interdisciplinary team care
