Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to ED patients using the nursing process and established standards
- Assess patient data, identify health issues, and develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications, monitor responses, perform ED procedures within scope, and manage IVs and telemetry
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff; participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Supervise and coordinate activities of other nursing staff as needed; maintain a safe, efficient ED environment
Requirements
- California RN license in the state of practice
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- At least two years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED within a short-term acute care hospital
- Compliance with facility vaccination requirements and safety policies
