Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the telemetry/acute care setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient data and telemetry readouts; respond to changes and escalate as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate with physicians, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and therapies, perform procedures as ordered, and assess patient responses.
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed staff; delegate tasks appropriately.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education; provide clear health information to the treatment team.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care or telemetry nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification/competency required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- BSN preferred
