Responsibilities

- Manage ventilator therapy in critical care areas following established protocols, with independent decision-making.
- Monitor patient respiratory status, document care, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide education to patients, families, and support systems; coordinate related activities with the care team.
- Contribute to staff development and mentor new employees; engage in professional and self-development activities.
- Address population-specific needs, incorporating biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and education considerations into care.
Requirements
- Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or eligibility
- Experience: Experience in critical care/ICU and ventilator management preferred
- Scheduling: Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication; able to educate patients and families
- Teamwork: Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and contributing to staff development
