Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care in a long-term care setting under supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse or unexpected reactions per plan of care.
- Monitor vital signs, intake and output, and changes in resident condition; document findings.
- Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed to support resident independence.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and other disciplines to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the resident chart and communicate changes promptly to the supervising nurse.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico.
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program; current license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts (06:00–18:30) in a skilled nursing environment.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills; ability to work with older adults.
