Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) position in Berlin, NH, starting 05/11/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay between $2,095 and $2,111 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) in an acute-care inpatient setting. This is a travel - temporary assignment in a high-acuity, inpatient care environment requiring bedside respiratory care for ED, inpatient, and transport to tertiary care when needed. Local travelers within 50 miles of AVH are eligible for a 10% rate reduction.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to acutely ill inpatients, including assessment, monitoring, and therapy coordination
- Manage ventilators (including HHN, BiPAP, and CPAP), humidification, suctioning, and airway clearance therapies
- Administer inhaled medications and perform related treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient response, adjust therapy per protocol, and document interventions in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team; participate in rounds and discharge planning as appropriate
- Respond to respiratory emergencies, ensure equipment safety, and maintain infection control practices
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure; temporary NH RCP will be accepted with 7–14 day turnaround to apply for temp licensure (must be current at submission)
- NBRC credential: active RRT or CRT
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of current acute care experience (required)
- Ventilator management experience (HHN, BiPAP, CPAP) required
- Documentation and submission requirements: Supervisory signed reference from the past year, Respiratory Therapist skills checklist, NBRC certificate, NH RCP licensure verification, permanent address in submission, and RTO information (RTO submitted with the offer; post-offer changes may not be accommodated)
- Ability to work in an acute inpatient setting and to meet the shift schedule described
