Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of dialysis treatment and the associated patient care during scheduled shifts
- Provide patient education about dialysis therapy, treatment expectations, and self-care considerations
- Supervise Dialysis Technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care delivery
- Adjust treatment plans per standing orders and care plans; monitor patient responses and outcomes
- Administer prescribed medications; monitor for adverse reactions and document accurately
- Collaborate with the care team, including nephrologists, social workers, and dietitians; participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multi-State Compact license
- Current CPR with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; dialysis experience required
- Prior experience in Acute or Ambulatory nursing preferred
- Ability to work at multiple peninsula clinics in WA and to cover AM/PM shifts as staffing needs dictate
