Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for PCU patients using the nursing process.
- Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge; ensure thorough documentation of care plans and outcomes.
- Administer medications and perform treatments safely; implement physician orders as written.
- Monitor patient status, report pertinent changes, and notify the physician as needed.
- Supervise and direct care staff and assistive personnel; delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available; report malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment; support interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Ohio RN license
- Certification: CPR certification required
- Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma in Nursing, ADN, or BSN)
- Experience: Previous RN experience preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
