Travel Registered Nurse MICU Job
Registered Nurse – MICU, Atlanta, Georgia. Start date: 09/21/2026. Travel assignment lasting 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,648–$1,672 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week. This hospital-based Medical ICU unit has 30 beds and treats patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, TDM2, alcohol or substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adults in the MICU, within the scope of practice for a registered nurse.
- Monitor ventilated patients, manage invasive lines and arterial/central access, and administer prescribed medications and IV drips.
- Perform frequent patient assessments, implement and adjust care plans, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members.
- Interpret lab results and hemodynamic data; respond to changes in patient status and participate in rapid response and escalation as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, ensure patient safety, adherence to infection control practices, and assist with timely family education and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Georgia or eligibility for licensure
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU/MICU experience, with ventilator management and IV drip experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced MICU environment
- Capacity to perform duties in a hospital setting and adhere to clinical standards
