Responsibilities
- Function as the scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Assemble supplies and equipment required for the procedure; prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments.
- Maintain and monitor the sterile field; assist with placement of sterile drapes; provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Ensure sterility of the field, perform corrective actions as needed, and assist with post-procedure dressing preparation.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas; assist with post-procedure room cleaning and turnover.
- Participate in ongoing education and competency verification applicable to scrub role; maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information; support department policies and procedures.
- May be floated to other departments where qualified before core staff; participate in required education for applicable programs (e.g., DNV curricula). CRASE training may be required if travel extends beyond 6 months.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Licenses/ Certifications: BLS required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Experience: Relevant OR/CVOR scrub experience preferred for travel assignments.
- Education/Experience combination: Meets standard surgical technology program requirements for scrub role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sterile surgical environment and support the surgical team.
