Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to MSU/PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg patients, including assessment, planning, and ongoing evaluation
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and promptly report changes to the physician
- Identify education needs of patients and significant others; deliver education using appropriate modalities
- Maintain patient safety through preventative measures, follow isolation and infection control procedures, and document care accordingly
- Perform and document accurate orders processing, 24-hour order checks when applicable, and thorough shift handoffs to incoming staff
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg settings; access manuals as needed; keep emergency carts and supplies stocked
- Communicate clearly with other departments and report critical lab values promptly per policy
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations and patient care

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington
- Experience in MSU/PCU and willingness to float to other departments as needed
- Ability to work in a PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg environment and adapt to shift needs
- Strong documentation, communication, and patient education skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and infection control practices
