Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, located in Watertown, New York. Start date: 05/11/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,261–$2,458 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour nights (7 p.m.–7 a.m.), 2x3 schedule. Work setting: hospital-based patient care with the ability to float to Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units. The role requires current NY licensure, coronary care experience, and the ability to operate in a high-acuity environment. This travel assignment includes MEDITECH charting and adherence to unit-specific safety and patient-care protocols.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including monitoring, assessment, and nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and respond to clinical changes with timely interventions.
- Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and patient status; document findings and care plans accurately in MEDITECH.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support care coordination, discharge planning, and family education.
- Float to assigned units (Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Pediatric) as needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
- May assume charge nurse duties as assigned; prioritize and delegate tasks to support staff effectively.
Requirements
- Current New York RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Coronary Care experience required
- Prior hospital RN experience preferred; traveler must have completed at least one prior traveler assignment; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, holidays, and call as required
- Willingness to float to Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units as needed
- Strong nursing assessment, leadership, communication, and documentation skills
