Responsibilities
- Set up imaging equipment and position patients for exams according to department procedures.
- Perform a wide variety of radiologic exams and obtain quality diagnostic images.
- Apply independent judgment and initiative in using imaging equipment to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, delivering age-appropriate care throughout imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with supervising staff and assist students during clinical rotations.
- Ensure proper documentation, image labeling, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license or eligibility consistent with state requirements.
- Graduation from an approved radiologic technology program or equivalent education.
- Ability to independently perform a broad range of radiographic procedures and operate imaging equipment.
- Knowledge of positioning, safety protocols, and quality control for radiologic imaging.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work with patients of all ages and to supervise students during rotations.
- Willingness to work 12-hour daytime shifts and to adapt to department needs in a travel assignment.
