This travel assignment focuses on adult medical-surgical care with an emphasis on ortho/trauma surgical cases. Candidate must be prepared to work a night shift and participate fully in a fast-paced inpatient unit.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, with strong emphasis on ortho/trauma surgical post-operative care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vitals, manage post-op instructions, wound care, drains, and analgesia; recognize and respond to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed; coordinate with physicians, charge nurses, physical therapy, and case management to optimize outcomes.
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit protocols.
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, discharge planning, and self-care post-discharge.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia; Nursys license verification required; license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Med Surg with ortho/trauma surgical emphasis in a hospital setting of similar size.
- Strong ortho/trauma surgical nursing skills; ability to manage post-operative patients and complex cases.
- Certification: current nursing certification card on file.
- Education: RN degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program.
- Additional: No reasonable requests for time off (no RTO); ability to work night shifts and on a high-acuity inpatient unit.
