Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Meeker, Colorado. This travel - temporary assignment is located in a medical-surgical setting. Start date: 05/27/2026 for a 13-week duration. Nights shift with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a weekly pay range of $1,690 to $1,762. This role requires a current, unrestricted Colorado RN license. Holidays are required to work with no holiday time off. Housing options may be available, with onboarding details provided by the issuing organization.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg patients, including spine/ortho post-op cases, with emphasis on medical/surgical care
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and manage postoperative plans and pain control
- Conduct ongoing assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff; participate in rounds and discharge planning
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit protocols; uphold a 1:5 patient ratio
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, post-op care, and applicable discharge instructions
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Colorado RN license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
- Experience: Spine/Ortho postoperative care with a Med/Surg emphasis
- Covid vaccination as required by state mandate
- Ability to work nights in a travel assignment
- Travel eligibility: must reside at least 65 miles away from the facility; local travelers not considered
