Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications, manage therapies, and respond to clinical changes with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and families to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across shifts, delegating appropriately.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families to support safe transitions.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor (required)
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience; ICU experience preferred
- BSN: preferred, not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU setting and adhere to established standards of care
