Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
- Ensure patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care that yields positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining patient safety.
- Assess patient experiences and take steps to improve quality of care and the overall patient experience.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to optimize care delivery, patient flow, and documentation while maintaining regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a unit-based nursing role.
- Experience supervising nursing and ancillary personnel and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a home healthcare - hospice setting and support patients and families in that environment.
- ER or acute care experience in a leadership capacity is preferred.
- Commitment to patient safety, high-quality care, and ongoing quality improvement.
