Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg|Tele Job
Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Telemetry, Lima, OH — Travel assignment starting 06/30/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,781–$1,883. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (12-hour nights). Setting: hospital. This opening is for a travel, temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg/Telemetry patients during night shift, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using age-appropriate criteria.
- Monitor telemetry, interpret heart rhythms, and administer/ titrate cardiac medications as ordered (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) with attention to safety and dosing.
- Collaborate with LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries; supervise and support non-RN teammates to maintain efficient unit workflow.
- Recognize changes in patient status, apply critical thinking, intervene appropriately, and communicate promptly with the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold infection control and safety standards, and contribute to stroke recognition and rapid response as needed.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education as appropriate; support continuity of care on the unit.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Ohio or a Compact state (Nursys verification required)
- 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in telemetry and heart rhythm interpretation; knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke
- Ability to work the night shift and every-other-weekend schedule
- Experience with cardiac medications and titration listed in Job Notes
- Skills checklist current within the past 12 months; ability to function effectively in a hospital setting
