Responsibilities
- Perform procedures requiring specialized training for general nursing care and related services for assigned patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Medical Doctor, in accordance with established policy.
- Participate in the planning for and provision of patient care, collaborating with the care team to meet patient needs.
- Apply aseptic technique in the performance of treatments, including sterile dressings and related procedures.
- Provide functional direction to ancillary personnel to support efficient patient care.
- Document care and observations as required by policy and ensure accuracy of patient records.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment and adjustment of care plans in coordination with the RN/MD, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in California
- Ability to work in a hospital setting
- Capable of performing duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Medical Doctor
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and to work a days shift schedule
- Strong teamwork and communication skills essential for collaboration with the care team
