Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies per physician orders, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Collaborate with CNAs and other ED staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record, ensuring timely and complete charting.
- Support discharge education and transition planning for patients and families.
Requirements
- Experience in Emergency Department or acute care settings preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts within a fast-paced ED environment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork with nurses, CNAs, physicians, and ancillary staff
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and adapt to a dynamic ED workflow
