Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients on the PCU/IMCU with neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and postoperative conditions.
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, interpret vitals, and respond quickly to changes in condition; maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage devices and support ventilation when needed (including chronic vents) and assist respiratory therapy.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, and ancillary teams; participate in rounds and care planning; communicate effectively with families.
- Document accurately in the EMR (EPIC), ensure proper handoffs, and uphold infection prevention and safety standards.
- Float to other units as needed to support patient care demands and maintain high-quality care across the unit.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York; NURSYS license verification required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Minimum 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience; travel experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment; floating to other units as needed
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Education: completion of an accredited nursing program leading to RN licensure
