Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret ECGs, and respond to dysrhythmias with appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; document accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with the care team on care planning, discharge planning, and patient education
- Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols; document and communicate changes in patient status
- Float to related units as needed to support patient care and unit operations
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (Massachusetts) or eligibility to practice
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg Telemetry experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; AHABLS certification
- Ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam (one attempt)
- Flu vaccination required to comply with facility policies
- Willingness to float to like units and overflow areas
- Onboarding includes pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and medications tests (one attempt; 85% passing score expected)
