Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to IMCU/PCU patients, including adults with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform assessments, document in EPIC EMR, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Manage patients with devices and lines (temporary pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP) and support ventilated patients with chronic vents as needed.
- Float to related units as required; participate in rounds and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure patient and family education, discharge planning, and adherence to safety policies and downstream care coordination.
Requirements
- Active New York registered nurse license with NURSYS verification; all RN licenses ACTIVE; RTO must be included at submission.
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience; travel experience documented on resume encouraged.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- EMR experience required: EPIC.
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics; ability to float to related units as needed.
- Up-to-date resume, including 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience and travel assignments.
- Local candidates within 75 miles may qualify for local rate.
