The IMCU unit focuses on intermediate care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 and handles conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, TDM2, substance use, and encephalopathy, with management of IV therapies including heparin drips. ASAP start available.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult IMCU patients, including monitoring vital signs, hemodynamics, and response to treatments; recognize and respond to deteriorating conditions.
- Administer medications and IV therapies (including heparin drips) per orders; monitor for adverse effects and ensure safe infusion practices.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document in the EMR, and contribute to the development and adjustment of the plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning and family education.
- Manage acuity associated with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, encephalopathy, and related conditions; implement protocol-driven care as ordered.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and comfort, with timely escalation of concerns and consistent documentation.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an ICU/IMCU or equivalent high-acuity setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Active RN license (or equivalent) in good standing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced IMCU environment with strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in clinical documentation and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
- Availability for a 2x3-day shift schedule and 13-week assignment
