Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatients in an outpatient care setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent nursing discretion to ensure safe, effective care.
- Document care activities accurately and educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless transitions of care.
Requirements
- Current California RN license (active)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Oncology nursing experience or clinical exposure preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient care setting; strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and work a 4x10-hour shift schedule
