Responsibilities
- Serve as the OR Circulator, assisting surgeons and the anesthesia team during operative procedures.
- Coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to support the surgical case.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols.
- Participate in preoperative planning, patient assessment, and nursing treatment within the perioperative phase.
- Document perioperative care and support efficient turnover between cases.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or eligibility)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- OR/perioperative nursing experience preferred; minimum 1 year recommended
- Ability to work a rotating 4x10 schedule and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to function in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Education: graduate of an approved nursing program (RN)
