Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse effects and document responses.
- Assess residents, record vital signs, and communicate changes to the supervising nurse.
- Provide routine nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living per care plans.
- Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to update and implement care plans.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards; report unusual findings promptly.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record and ensure smooth handoffs during shift changes.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to practice in the state.
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a long-term care setting.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to pass standard health screenings and background checks.
