Speech Language Pathologist – travel assignment in Middletown, Rhode Island. This role provides direct speech-language pathology services in a skilled nursing facility setting for adult residents. Start date May 4, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,918–$1,996 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a travel, temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive SLP evaluations for residents and create individualized treatment plans addressing communication and swallowing goals.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, participate in care planning rounds, and educate residents and families on therapy goals and strategies.
- Document assessment findings, goals, progress notes, and discharge plans in the facility’s electronic health record; ensure compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
- Maintain professional standards, pursue best practices, and ensure timely communication with supervising staff as required.
- Ensure adherence to patient privacy and HIPAA; participate in quality improvement activities and incident reporting as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility and reliability in meeting resident needs within the assigned schedule.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (US) or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work on-site in Middletown, Rhode Island and follow the assigned shift schedule.
- Experience in geriatric or skilled nursing settings preferred; strong communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of dysphagia management and related disorders; ability to implement evidence-based interventions.
- Proficiency with common EMR systems and standard documentation practices; commitment to ongoing professional development.
