Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for an assigned group of Med Surg patients according to the nursing process and established standards.
- Collect relevant data, assess needs, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, coordinate care, and assist with discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and maintain patient safety and comfort; document interventions accurately.
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff as needed; provide patient and family education.
- Maintain a safe, healing environment and participate in ongoing quality improvement and documentation using the electronic health record.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (Oregon) or the state of assignment
- Current BLS certification; approved CPR certification per policy
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required for facility-specific standards
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Education: BSN preferred
- Experience: at least two years of recent acute care/Med Surg experience
- Availability for day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) on a 3x12-hour schedule
