Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, noting any changes in patient status.
- Monitor residents, assess needs, and promptly report critical changes to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and certain injections as permitted by scope of practice.
- Document care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and therapy staff to support care plans and resident goals.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligible for licensure in the state
- Diploma or certificate from an approved practical nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Ability to perform a 12.5-hour shift (06:00–18:30) and meet guaranteed weekly hours
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment starting 04/20/2026 for 8 weeks
