Clinical Staff Educator – OR (Registered Nurse) Travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date 04/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate education programs for operating room staff, including simulation-based training with mannequins and simulation software
- Collaborate with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators to identify educational needs and opportunities
- Serve as a resource for clinical education and training programs; write learning objectives and assess learner progress
- Support Quality Management initiatives and participate in required education for applicable accreditation or regulatory programs
- Maintain patient confidentiality, demonstrate empathy and teamwork, and communicate effectively in daily activities
- Manage multiple priorities independently, adjust plans as needed, and contribute to ongoing education documentation and program improvement
Requirements
- Current Oregon RN license
- Certifications: Healthcare Provider CPR (HCP CPR), CNOR, ACLS, PALS (BLS as applicable)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years hospital nursing experience; at least 3 years in the OR
- Skills: Proficiency with word processing, internet use, and basic Microsoft Office; ability to write educational objectives; 45 words-per-minute typing; familiarity with electronic health record systems is helpful
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital OR environment, strong teaching and communication skills, and a track record of clinical education or staff development is preferred
