Responsibilities
- Implement and adapt OT treatment plans under supervision to meet individual goals.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities to improve fine motor skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), and cognitive strategies.
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate patient responses to the OT team.
- Support gait, balance, range of motion, and strength training; assist with ADLs and energy conservation.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, materials, and treatment spaces; adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with OT, nursing, psychology, and security staff to coordinate care while safeguarding patient privacy and safety.

Requirements
- Active North Carolina license/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligible for licensure.
- Certification: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
- Education: Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Experience: Clinical OT experience; travel or corrections setting experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities; ability to work effectively in a correctional health care setting.
- Eligibility for a 13-week assignment and the ability to meet assignment start date requirements.
