Position: Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Evening Shift (Travel Assignment)

Weekly pay: $578-$602 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities
- Triage every patient entering the emergency department and determine priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs, patient flow, and waiting room status.
- Document in-depth nursing history including chief complaint, health status, and pertinent information; perform ongoing assessments to inform care planning.
- Develop and implement the plan of care, ensuring supplies and equipment are available and functional; continuously update plans to meet patient and family needs.
- Manage a broad range of emergencies per standard policies and ENA guidelines; reassess and respond to changes in patient status to maintain safety.
- Provide health education to patients and families; document treatment explanations and discharge instructions; assist with discharge planning and referrals as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the ED team and participate in on-call assignments as needed to support patient care and department operations.
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania RN licensure
- Meets American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); renewals every two years
- NIHSS certification
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- 1+ year ED nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour evening shifts in an ED environment; available for on-call as needed
