Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment available in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Start date: 07/07/2026 for a 13-week assignment with potential extension. 3x12-hour rotating shifts (12-hour days with rotating weekends and call rotation). Hospital-based unit serving the Family Birth Place with OR, PACU and postpartum coverage and couplet care. Expected activity includes handling around 60 deliveries per month and caring for babies 32 weeks gestation and up. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with weekly pay ranging from $2,714 to $2,775.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum and post-anesthesia recovery, including coordination with the OR, PACU and newborn care as part of couplet care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications per protocols, and respond to obstetric emergencies and neonatal needs
- Collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, nursing and ancillary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Lead on the unit as the Days Charge RN, coordinating patient flow, delegating tasks, and ensuring safety and quality standards during assigned shifts
- Educate patients and families about perinatal care, procedures and postpartum expectations; document care accurately and timely
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license or compact to practice in Colorado, in good standing
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required
- NRP required
- STABLE required
- Prior L&D experience in a hospital setting with exposure to OR, PACU and postpartum environments; couplet care experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and call; travel nurse status implied by placement
