Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult medical-surgical and oncology patients, including observation, assessment, and intervention
- Monitor patients using telemetry, manage port access/therapy, IV starts, and chemotherapy surveillance as applicable
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; respond to changes in patient condition and participate in code/rapid response events
- Document care accurately and promptly in the EPIC charting system; communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and safety standards; support discharge planning and patient/family education
Requirements
- Active RN license; pending license accepted per policy; MO licensure preferred
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; first-time travelers accepted; EPIC experience required
- Certifications: BLS/CPR, NIHSS, Fire Safety; ACLS may be required for certain locations; verify prior to submittal
- Clinical skills: chemotherapy monitoring and administration experience, port access/management, IV start and maintenance, telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation, use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions
- Ability to work nights on a 3×12 schedule and float within scope as needed
