Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients per physician orders in an acute care setting.
- Administer therapies including oxygen, aerosolized medications, and other prescribed modalities; operate and monitor respiratory equipment and ventilators.
- Assess patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team; adjust therapies as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control standards and equipment safety procedures; ensure accurate charting and device maintenance.
- Participate in holiday coverage as required, including working two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (e.g., the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
Requirements
- Active Georgia RRT license (GA RRT)
- NBRC-RRT certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS per American Heart Association standards
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory care within the specialty
- Ability to work in an acute care setting and in a dynamic travel assignment
