Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical in Med Surg is available for a travel temporary assignment starting 04/20/2026. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care for adults on a med-surg service, with a focus on ortho/trauma postoperative patients
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, manage IV therapy, wound care, drains, and pain control
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and document in the electronic medical record
- Support safe patient throughput, discharge planning, and patient education for post-operative recovery and activity modification
- Uphold infection control practices, safety standards, and quality indicators throughout the shift
- Assist with care transitions and coordinate with ancillary staff to ensure holistic patient care
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing
- Must have strong ortho/trauma surgical skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical care within a similar-size setting
- No planned time off during the assignment (no RTO)
- Must provide work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, plus Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card, and Nursys license verification
- Ability to work the listed night shift and perform duties on an inpatient med-surg service
