Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel) in Templeton, CA. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $1,702–$1,841 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Night shift on a 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Perform the professional functions of a registered nurse in the ED: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Coordinate and deliver nursing care, including delegation as appropriate, to support timely patient needs.
- Administer medications and document per hospital policies, ensuring accuracy and safety (6 rights, timely charting).
- Monitor patients for signs of distress; respond to emergencies, including code events, with appropriate action.
- Obtain patient history and conduct age-appropriate assessments; participate in discharge planning and education.
- Maintain infection control practices, clear communication, and thorough documentation to support team collaboration.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California).
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Experience: One year of recent acute care RN experience.
- Certifications: Current BLS; ACLS; PALS (within 6 months of hire or transfer); NIHSS required; ENPC may satisfy PALS requirements.
- Licenses/Certifications: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required within the specified timeframe.
- Specialty/Setting: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department.
- Computer/Systems: Cerner experience preferred or required for charting and documentation.
