Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group of patients in the telemetry unit, using established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, implement and adjust care plans, administer medications as ordered, and document care accurately.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff on the unit, providing guidance as needed.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other health professionals; communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
- Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and professional discretion to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety protocols, and standards of care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Telemetry or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in a travel assignment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to complete onboarding/credentialing requirements for assignment
