Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, and routine interventions
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary team
- Document patient care and status in the Meditech EMR; manage Pyxis medication dispensing as required
- Care for wounds and devices (e.g., wound vacs, chest tubes) and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff; participate in rounds and ensure patient safety and comfort
- May float to Laulima Unit or Cardiovascular Unit and adapt to varying shift lengths and patient populations
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2–10 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work nights and flexible shift lengths; may float to other units
- Flu vaccination proof or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
