Responsibilities
- Serve as the RN Patient Navigator, guiding perioperative patients through diagnostic and treatment processes without bedside care
- Conduct pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients and prepare them for anesthesia
- Establish positive, respectful relationships with patients and families; coordinate communication among the perioperative team
- Educate patients on perioperative steps, expectations, and aftercare within the office setting; document interactions and plans in the chart
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing teams to optimize patient readiness and flow
- Utilize electronic health records (EPIC preferred) to track patient status, tests, and scheduling

Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Unrestricted RN license in Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS); may be obtained upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- At least 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience and/or medical-surgical nursing experience
- EPIC experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to work in a high-altitude environment (approximately 8,000 feet)
- Not accepting any RTO (time off) requests during the assignment
