Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations using standard protocols and adjust technique to optimize image quality.
- Position patients correctly for CT scans, selecting appropriate anatomy and scan parameters; ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Adhere to CT quality control procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices.
- Monitor patients during scans and respond to any adverse reactions or alarms; assist with contrast administration when required.
- Document exams accurately and communicate findings or priorities with the radiology team as needed.
Requirements
- Active New York state license to practice radiologic technology
- ARRT CT certification; CT registry required
- 1+ year CT imaging experience
- Ability to work night shifts in a hospital travel assignment
- Strong knowledge of CT safety, patient positioning, and QA procedures
