Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse - MS/Tele in a hospital setting located in Rochester, NY. This travel assignment starts on 04/13/2026 and runs for weeks on a 3x12 night shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,123 to $2,149. The role focuses on adult and geriatric cardiac telemetry within a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit managed with Epic charting. The position supports travel staffing with 16 hours of orientation and requires floating within the unit’s scope.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric cardiac telemetry patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Monitor ECG rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, initiate appropriate interventions, and participate in Rapid Response/Code events
- Administer medications, manage peripheral IV lines, perform phlebotomy, and support non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Interpreters, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary, Rapid Response Teams)
- Document patient care in Epic and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols as needed
- Support patient flow and safety as part of a team including PCTs who perform vitals, glucose checks, and ADLs
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand to submit
- BLS certification; NIHSS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or cardiac telemetry; first-time travelers accepted
- Epic charting experience required
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; ability to work in MS/Tele and float within scope
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; local candidate rule applies (candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted); RTO restrictions: no more than 1 week and no more than 10 total days off
